BOO-zy Box for Adult Trick or Treaters!

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Magic In the Night Suite

I made an adult Halloween treat. A Boo-zy Box! (Sorry, not sorry for the bad pun.) I had such a fun time making this box.

I used so much from the Magic in This Night Suite. The Designer Series paper, the black glitter paper (which I love and will stock up on), the Iridescent Pearls (photos do not do them justice), and Trick or Treat from the stamp set. I also used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. I cut the opening with the Rectangle Stitched dies. I placed a piece of Window Sheet in the opening. If you zoom in on the picture you might be able to see that I stamped some spiders with Staz-On ink.

I think these would be great for any parent helping their child with remote/home learning. Let's face it; they will be home with their student(s) on Halloween which is a full moon this year. Bless all teachers and parents this year! LOL

I hope you have enjoyed this project. Until next time.

Happy 100th Birthday!

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Happy Birthday to You

Do you ever have a stamp set you just love and won't get rid of? That's how I feel about the Saleabration set Happy Birthday To You. When this set came out, I know I would want to use it for a very special September birthday.  I know someone turning 100!

I used Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Gray Granite blends to color. Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight are used for the card base, layer and circle. A layer of velum was placed on top to give it a softer, feminine effect. Leaves were cut from velum from various dies.  I hope my friend likes it.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Until next time.

More Clear Envelope Treat Holders

Hi Stampers!

I just love our clear envelopes. I mail my cards in them all the time. I figure people at the post office might like to see something pretty. I have used them many times to hold mini Hershey bars. Today I thought why not use them to hold Hershey nuggets. This is such a QUICK project.  You can whip up a bunch of them at the last minute and still have a beautiful gift.

First, place eight nuggets in a clear envelope and fold the top down and seal it. I didn't wrap my nuggets for the sake of time. If you would like to cover your nuggets, cut strips of paper at 1" x 3" and wrap the strip around the nugget and use a couple glue dots to seal them.

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Nugget holder
For the outside of the packageI used Magic in the Night Designer Series Paper. Cut it at
4 1/2" x 6". On long side score at 1 1/2". Fold the flap down over the top of your envelope. I used tear and tape to seal it. Any strong adhesive would work. I stamped Trick or Treat from Itty Bitty Greetings and hand cut a tag. The black flower is from Dressed to Impress. I used the Metallic Mesh ribbon and black bakers twine.

Teachers love chocolate so I might be making a few more of these in the near future. Thank goodness they are so easy to make.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Until next time.

Kick Up Your Heels Christmas Tag Challenge

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Zany Zebras, Dressed to Impress, Tags,

I belong to a group that has monthly Christmas challenges so that by the time December rolls around you already have many Christmas cards made. The August challenge was to make 10 Christmas tags.

My inspiration was little nip bottles sitting on my table. They were red and green, it reminded me think Christmas colors. Many people give wine as a gift and make hanging tags for the bottles. So, I worked at measuring the bottles and making tiny tags.

The tags are 1 1/4" x 3 1/2", scored at 1 1/4" on the long side. I used a retired 3/4" circle punch for the hole. A small circle die will make the hole as well. The shoes were stamped and cut with the Dressed to Impress bundle. The verse is from Zany Zebras. A little bit of silver thread was placed behind the shoes for a little sparkle.

I hope you have enjoyed this project. Until next time,

Who's Turning 40 Slim Line Card

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Slim line card

Who's Turning Forty (WTF)? My cousin is, that's who and I hope he gets a good laugh from this card!

I used all retired products on this card since my Playful Alphabet dies had not come yet since they were on back order. (Everybody wants those cute little letters.) On the inside I used the computer to write "Who's Turning Forty?  You are that's who! Happy Birthday.

I cut my card stock 7" x 8 3/4". On the 7" side, I scored it in half at 3 1/2". I cut the DSP at 3 1/4" x 8 1/2". Slim line cards are all the rage right now. They fit into a business size envelope that you could stamp to decorate or you could make a coordinating envelope with your Designer Series Paper.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Until next time,

Wicked Trick or Treat

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Celebration Tidings bundle, treat holder, halloween, hershey

You have seen me use our clear envelopes for treat holders before.  Today I made them Halloween themed and I used the Wicked die that is still on clearance sale.

As I have said before, I love this Magic in this Night Designer Series Paper. Purple is one of my favorite colors as well. The Metallic Mesh Ribbon is also a favorite. It is in with the Halloween section of the catalog, but it can be used for so much more.
The toppers are made using the Celebration Label Dies. As soon as I saw these dies, I knew I HAD to have them for goodies of all types. Plus they make wonderful layers on cards too.

These little candy bars will make a nice treat for coworkers or anyone special in your life who enjoys Halloween.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Until next time,

Happy Haunting Card

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Celebration Tidings,

Here is a fun fold card using the verse Happy Haunting from the Celebration Tidings set and the Magic in this Night Designer Series Paper. I just love this Halloween paper. I plan on making several goodies with it.

One technique I used to age the Whisper White card stock was to crumple it and then sponge the creases with Basic Gray ink.  I know from my customers crumpling card stock is something you either enjoy or it sends chills down your spine.  Feel free not to crumple card stock 😀. Card making is supposed to be relaxing not stressful.

I hope you enjoyed this project.  Until next time,

Hallows Night Stand Up Grave

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Hallows Night Bundle, free standing pop up card

I can't believe it is September already.  Schools are starting if they haven't already.  Kids come back Tuesday for my building. I just don't know where time has gone.

Halloween is right around the corner. I made a Free Standing Pop Up card.  I think it looks like a grave stone, do you? It was made with the Hallows Night Magic bundle.
The base is Basic Black and Basic Gray.

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Hallows Night Magic

I love stamp sets that have coordinating dies. These dies cut out the bats from the Designer Series Paper. Talk about time saver!! The bats look like they have been embossed.
This type of card does fold flat to fit in an envelope. Now I just need to decide which little goblin I am going to send this to.

I hope you have enjoyed this project. Until next time.

Autumn Birthday

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Rooted in Nature

Here is a card for my uncle. I used Rooted In Nature and retired Designer Series Paper and embellishments.

#iwillusemyprettypaper This is some more of my retired paper I need to use up.  I love the masculine colors of this card.  I sure hope my uncle likes it.

Until next time,

6 x 6 Unicorn Treat Holder

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Zany Zebras, Little Debbie Treat Holder
Isn't the stamp set Zany Zebras just the cutest??? Zany Zebras or should I say Unicorns??? I turned them into adorable unicorns!

I used my black marker to out line my rubber stamp excluding the stripes of the zebra.  I colored them with my gray blends. I cut a gold horn from some left over gold glimmer paper, but you could use gold foil paper.

I made unicorns to go with these Little Debbie Unicorn snacks.  This little box in a bag is so easy to make especially with the Playing with Pattern 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Zany Zebra, Little Debbie Treat holder,
With a 2 1/2" x 3" piece of card stock, score 3/4" on all four sides and make a box bottom out of it.  Look how cute these are. Make sure to use a strong adhesive.

On a 6" x 6" piece of DSP, place tear tape on the left side and the bottom. Remove the backing of the tape. Align the bottom of the box and DSP and wrap the DSP around the bottom of the box, starting on the right side of the DSP.  Once the DSP is wrapped all the way around the bottom of the box, carefully press the left side that had the tear tape onto the right side of the DSP.  It will look like a tube.

Hole punch the top to put the ribbon on.  If you like, lightly press the edges together to use a corner rounder.  The circles were cut with the stitched dies and adhered with dimensionals.

Hope you enjoyed todays projects.  Until next time,

Designer Series Paper Cards

Hi Stampers,

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, peacefull poppies, One sheet wonders
Are you looking for ways to use your Designer Series Paper? You know me, I am trying to use up all the DSP I have. With two sheets of Designer Series Paper I could get 14 cards. #iwillusemyprettypaper

The first sheet I cut into 4" x 12" strips. I then cut down the strips to 4" x 3" for a total of 12 rectangles.

The second sheet cut 4" x 12" strips.  The first strip I cut two pieces 4" x 3" and the rest of the strip was cut 4" x 2" for a total of five pieces from the first strip.  The remaining 4" x 12" pieces were cut down to 4" x 2".

Next, I adhered them to a card base.  Added a little ribbon or card stock for a strip over the seam. Whisper White was placed on the inside for various sentiments.

I hope you enjoyed this project and that you will be inspired to use your pretty paper.

Until next time,

Hand Sanitizer for the Holidays

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, 3D, Hand Sanitizer, packaging
Monday (previous post) I shared with you packaging for 2 oz hand sanitizer. Since this is an item I will need all year long, I figured I would make some holders for all the holidays.  Autumn, Halloween, and Christmas are what I have made so far.

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Halloween, hand sanitizer, Hallows Night Magic

Here I have used many products from the Magic in the Night Suite.  I love the Metallic Mesh ribbon. It almost looks like spider webs.

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Pine Tree Punch, In the Woods,

Here I have used Plaid Tidings DSP. I used The Pine Tree punch for the hat, which I embossed with Greenery embossing folder to make it look like a knit cap. The Christmas tree and beard are from In the Woods dies. The snow on the tree is the Chalk Marker. I had some embellishments from the spring catalog, so I used them for lights/bulbs on the tree. It's Christmas so this little gnome is wearing is shiny dress shoes made from the black glitter paper.

What holidays would you make packaging for?

Hope you enjoyed this project.  Until next time,

Stampin Stace

Back to School Sanitizer Packaging

Hi Stampers!

Are you headed back to school soon or have you already started?

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Gathered Together, 3D box, sanitizer
I am headed back to school today for a week long professional development. Guess what we will need a lot of besides masks, that's right! Hand sanitizer and lots of it!  Why not make some cute packaging for it!?!

I saw another demonstrator make a box very similar to this.  Hers was to lay horizontally with a large lid.  I switched it up to stand tall and open at the top.

You can make two of these with one sheet of card stock and a little Designer Series Paper.  #iwillusemyprettypaper I had a little left over from last years Gather Together Suite. I love the leaves in this bundle. I used the dies to cut and emboss some leaves from Rich Razzleberry and Cajun Craze card stock. Then, to the Cajun Craze leaf I added gold Wink of Stella which has retired.  The clear with just a touch of shimmer would be pretty as well but I am trying to use up as much product as I can.

The verse is stamped on Very Vanilla card stock with Rich Razzleberry ink and added leaves with Cajun Craze ink.  I just used my paper snips to cut the tag out. I closed the box with some linen thread.

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Sanitizer Box, 3D
To make the box, cut card stock at 4 1/4" x 11".  On the short side score 1" and 3 1/4". On the long side score 1", 5", 6", 10".  Snip at the score lines with small miters. I cute the corners on the top to make the box close easier.

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, snowman builder punch
On the top flap I used the snowman builder punch to cut a notch to make it easier to open. You could use a small circle punch or a small circle die if you like.

Here is where I place adhesive tape.  Any strong tape or glue will work. I turned the small flaps in, folded up the sides without any adhesive, then turned up the flaps with adhesive. I make that the back of my box.

I covered the sides with DSP. Cut two at 3 3/4" x 2" (these are the front and back). Cut two 3 3/4" x 3/4" (these are the two sides).

I have a feeling I will be buying hand sanitizer in bulk this year and making lots of these little boxes.

Hope you enjoyed this project.  Until next time,

Stampin Stace

Consume Cookies & Be Awesome Cookie Box

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Nothing Better Than, 3D cookie box, gift giving
I think my favorite new set from the Annual Catalog is Nothing Better Than!! Cookies, Chocolate, Coffee and Cocktails.  How can you go wrong with a set like that? AND there are coordinating dies!

I have used lots of new product for this project. Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper, which I just LOVE! The Nothing Better Than bundle. Cinnamon Cider, Whisper White, and Early Espresso card stock. Linen thread.

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Nothing Better Than, 3d cookie box
Here is the inside of this cookie box. It holds a snack size package of cookies.  To make the box cut card stock at 7 3/8" x 6 1/2".  Score all four sides at 3/4". On the long side score at 3 1/4"  and 4".

Snip the card stock to the edges and miter just a little bit off the flaps. Here is what it looks like when you finish with the cuts.
Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, 3D Cookie box pattern
I used Tombo glue to glue the flaps to make a base and the cover.

The Designer Series Paper is cut 2 1/4" x 4 3/4".  I stamped and die cut the cookies and used dimensionals to pop them up just a bit.

I can see giving these to coworkers on a Friday after a long week.

I hope you enjoyed this project.  Until next time,
Stampin Stace

A Grand Birthday

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, STampin Up, Stitched so Sweetly, A grand Kid
So what do you think of this handsome card I made for a 15 year old boy?  It has to be "handsome" because teenage boys don't like "cute" things 😀.

I love the stamp set A Grand Kid. I know it is made for grandchildren, however, I just love the sassy sayings. I plan on using them for nieces and nephews. I will just leave out the words Grand from any of the verses.

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Stitched so Sweetl, A Grand Kid
Here is the inside of this card.  Isn't it adorable???

I used Plaid Tidings Designer Series paper, Blackberry Bliss card stock and ink, Pretty Peacock and Whisper White card stock. And for a little "masculine" bling I used the new Iridescent Pearls. These pearls aren't just for Halloween!

I hope you enjoyed this project. Until next time,

Thinking of You

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace Stampin Up Stitched So Sweetly So Sentimental
I think I am just about caught up with my cards using items from the spring catalog.  I used up some of my Designer Series Paper from the Best Dressed suite.

Luckily, one of my favorite bundles, So Sentimental, has carried over!  The stitched dies in the bundle are awesome!

Later this week I will have some new cards with some Designer Series Paper from the August-December catalog.

Until next time,
Stampin Stace

Sending Healing Hugs Starburst

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace So Sentimental Bundle Stampin Up
I used the So Sentimental Bundle and Starburst technique to create this card.

All the pieces start off as rectangles. I cut Designer Series Paper at:

Cut 1: 4 1/2" x 1 1/2"
Cut 1: 4" x 1 1/2"
Cut 2: 3" x 1 1/2"
Cut 2: 2" x 1 1/2"

Then all the rectangles are cut on the diagonal.  I placed all the points on a central point off to the upper left hand side of my card made from Blackberry Bliss card stock. Once I decided where I wanted them, I glued them down with Tombo glue. I cut off any over hang.

I stamped the verse with Blackberry Bliss ink on Whisper White card stock. I cut it with the Layering Circle dies.  I used the next size die to make a scalloped Blackberry Bliss layer for the circle.

I hope you have enjoyed today's project.

Until next time,

Best Dressed A Little Hello

Hi Stampers!

I think I will be all caught up with week with showing you things I created during the summer.  I had Designer Series Paper I wanted to use up.  Remember I will use my pretty paper!

I cut a 2" strip of DSP, and attached it to a layer of embossed card stock. I tied white ribbon around the card.

I cut layers with the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I am not sure where the verse came from. Something that just retired in June...

I hope you enjoyed todays project.

Until next time,

Stampin Stace

Christmas Challenge

Hi Stampers!

StampinStace Stampin Up! Chrstmas
I am still catching up from this spring.  Again, this is a card I made with what at the time was current stamp sets but they have since retired.
I used Flourishing Phrases to create this Christmas card challenge which was to use a non Christmas stamp set to create a Christmas card.  I had some gold glitter paper to cut Merry Christmas with some retired dies.

Now, I need to get caught up on the rest of these challenges.  If I do I will have all my Christmas cards completed before December.  I will be ahead this year for a change.

I hope you enjoyed todays projects.

Until next time.

Best Dressed Congratulations

Hi Stampers!

Like I said the other day, I’m playing catch up. Today’s card has Designer Series Paper and a stamp set that is retired.  If you’re like me, you probably still have some of the paper and you could substitute a verse. I am working on using my pretty paper.

StampinStace Blessed Dressed Stampin Up

My dear friend has decided to go back to school and be an EMT. She loves shoes. In fact, she has a specific pair of red shoes and takes photos of the red shoes when she travels etc.. She calls her photo album “Traveling Adventures of the Red Shoes” 😉

Well, when I learned that she passed her final exams I knew what paper I had to use!

I stamped the verse with black Staz-On ink on vellum.

StampinStace Best Dressed Stampin Up
The inside I stamped the background three times without re-inking  in between.  “You did it” was stamped in Tuxedo Black. My friend was so nervous that she was going to fail. The rest of us knew she wouldn’t.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.

Until next time,
