Post-It Gnome

Hi Stampers!

I am sure if you’ve been on the internet or shopping, you know gnomes are very popular right now.

At Christmas time, people started making punch art gnomes with the Pine Tree Punch. Before that I wasn’t going to purchase this punch since I had other tree dies. Well, we all know how that goes. You start seeing things on Facebook or Pinterest and then YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT.

It was on back order for who knows how long.  It arrived about the time My Heartfelt Suite arrived, so the gnome got put on the back burner.

Post-It note holders have been around for a long time.  I saw that another demonstrator had made one with a Valentine gnome.  I knew I had to make one too. I am the Queen of Post-it notes! I buy them in bulk for school. I also had some little pens I got from the Dollar Tree after Halloween on sale!

Now to make the gnome. Punch two trees. One from Designer Series Paper and one from Whisper White. Sponge the Whisper White with  Blushing Bride ink and a sponge dauber.  His nose is punched with the 1/2” circle punch from Blushing Bride card stock. His feet are the leaf from the Apple Builder Punch using Basic Black card stock. Oh my goodness, isn’t he just cute!

The Pine Tree Punch is still available online. Make sure you use the Hostess Code SUNT7UVQ when you place your order from me this month!

Until next time,

International Swap

Hi Stampers!

I wanted to share a card with you that I made for a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators international swap.
I am in absolute love with the Designer Series Paper in the mini catalog and the saleabration catalog. They are so beautifully designed they don’t need anything else to make gorgeous cards.

I layered the Lily Impressions DSP that I earned free from the Saleabration catalog. I used a verse from Strong & Beautiful with Bermuda Bay Ink on Whisper White card stock. I cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle dies. Layered on a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock cut with a larger die.

Every card needs a little bling so I added sequins from the Metallic Baker’s Twine & Sequins Combo Pack from Saleabration as well.  Don’t you just love how everything coordinates with Stampin’ Up!??

I can’t wait to see what other Demonstrators will be creating.  I will share their creations with you when I receive them next month.

Until next time,

Heartfelt Love

Hi Stampers!

As you all know by now I am absolutely in love with the From My Heart suite with the Heartfelt stamp and punch set!  I love the stamp set because it has friendship verses and I will be sending many more friend Valentine’s Day cards than I will be romantic one 😀.

So the other night once I made my card using black in it, I started playing with red, white and black. I punched hearts in all three colors.

Well my hearts didn’t quite fit on a card base the way I wanted.  I decide I hadn’t made a scrapbook page in forever.  Please tell me I am not the only person with hundreds of photos on their phone that have never been printed.

I decided to you Smokey Slate as the base of an 8” x 8” page.  I added a 1 1/2” strip of Golden Honey Designer Series Paper to the edge. The black heart I left plain, the red heart I added rhinestones, and the white heart I used my Real Red marker to color the word Love from the Heartfelt stamp that says Love You Lots. All three hearts have dimensionals to give it a little pop.

Most photos are 4”x6” and I made the black layer 4 1/4”x 6 1/4” and the red layer 4 1/2”x 6 1/2”.  I thought it was so cute!  I just needed a photo.  Bring out the phone and decide which photo looks like love to me.  I have some photos of my daughter and I at a wedding from this past summer but they didn’t quite scream love to me.  I found another photo of my daughter and her little cousin who hadn’t seen each other for a few years!  I decided the photo needed to be printed off in black and white.

This scrapbook page is so stinkin’ cute I have a feeling I may need to print off some more photos and make some of these for family members.

Like I have said a million times, this bundle is one that can be used for so many different things, not just Valentine’s.

Don’t forget, Saleabration is still going on.  The Heartfelt bundle is just a few dollars away from earning free products from the Saleabration catalog. You could earn the Golden Honey Designer Series Paper I have used in the project or one of the other many items in the catalog.  Make sure you use the hostess code SUNT7UVQ unless your order is $150+ before S/H and tax.

Until next time,

Being Friends is Better Than Eating Candy

Hi Stampers!

I have another project using the From My Heart Suite. I just love this project because it has my two favorite things: chocolates and stamping.  Did you notice chocolate was listed first?

I made a video to show you how easy it is to make this project.  I am using a new video program.  I am sorry I am off screen for a bit. I am going to try to make more videos.  Like I said, my apartment doesn’t have hi-speed internet so everything has to be recorded and uploaded later on.

To make this you’ll need:
  • Clear envelopes
  • 4 1/4” x 4 1/4” card stock
  • 4” x 4” Designer Series Paper
  • 3 1/2” x 5” card stock scored at 1 3/4”
  • 1 1/2” x 4 3/4” Designer Series Paper
  • Scrap card stock to punch hearts and stamp
I got the chocolates at the local dollar store. You could use any candy you like.

Until next time,
