Using the Paper Trimmer for Cutting Card Stock

Hi Stampers!

I wanted to share some basic techniques with you since I have some new stampers joining my stamping friends. Starting with cutting card stock.

The new Paper Trimmer has been released along with Cutting Blade Replacements. This trimmer will cut card stock and Designer Series Paper in a snap.  You will notice it has two blades on it.  The black blade is for cutting card stock and 12 x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP). The gray blade with score both card stock and DSP.  The ruler extends to 15”.  It has an easy to read grid on the base in both inches and metric.

American card stock comes in 8.5 x 11”.  It can be cut in half either landscape or portrait.  For my teacher friends, it can be cut in half hot dog bun or hamburger bun 😀.  Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.

If you start off you paper in portrait—you will cut it at the 4 1/4” mark and score it at 5 1/2’.  If you start in landscape— you will cut it at 5 1/2” and score at 4 1/4”.  I have made a quick video to show you this. Here is a quick little video on how to cut card stock for card bases in inches.

I sure hope that helped.

Until next time,

Happy Stampin’

Stace
