Stitched Stockings and the Stocking Builder punch aren't just for Christmas. Here is a really cute baby card we made at club in November. Our hostess was, and still is, very pregnant. Lucky for her, she won't have too much longer to wait. Congratulations Barb & Will. So I made this card with them in mind.
Just cut off a little of the stocking & glue the cuff on. Instant baby booties! These could be made in pinks for a girl too. Wouldn't that be stinkin cute? The only stamping was the booties themselves and Hello Baby from Teeny Tiny Wishes. All the rest was punches and Designer Series Paper and a little bit of ribbon. Isn't the mini clothes pin a cute touch too! I'm so glad I know someone else who is going to have a baby in the spring so I can make some more of these.
Until next time,

Stocking Gift Card Holder
I just love my Big Shot and the Holiday Mini catalog! Some people hate to give gift cards because they don't look like much. That can never be said again with this gift card holder! I just love EVERYTHING from the Holiday Mini Catalog. (Quick order your supplies before Jan 3, 2012- when this awesome mini catalog ends!)
I love the Forestwoods Lodge DSP, the Mini Jingle Bells, the Holiday Stocking die, and the stamp set Dear Santa! Wouldn't you just love this stocking even before you knew it held a gift card inside??? I sure hope my family members act surprised when they get one of these. Of course they won't know which stores I got gift cards from!

Thanksgiving, Black Friday & Stamping!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Wednesday we had a snowstorm which made traveling so much fun. Can you hear the sarcasm? But we did make it to my mother in laws house fine since I have all wheel drive. And like most houses my mother in law and family made WAY too much food. We had desserts galore. A wonderful recipe that was made using a gluten free cake mix was a recipe from Paula Dean on Foodnetwork that can be found here. If you like pumpkin pie, you will LOVE THIS!
My poor mother in law had to be at work at 4:00 am for Black Friday. I felt so bad for all those retail employees. Late Friday afternoon I did go to small dollar stores and that was it. I knew they wouldn't be busy and I wanted to get extra goodies for the child I chose on the giving tree. I really hope the child like the goodies I bought.
Here are some stamping goodies I made that I will be making more of. I love that Stampin Up came out with all the Christmas stocking products. My favorite things to make are Christmas cards and I have TONS of snowflakes. I have so many that I have even been telling myself I have so many I can't possibly use them all in one holiday season. Don't tell my husband I said that! But thanks to Stampin Up I have an entire new obsession- Christmas stockings! Here is a tag we made in club. I am going to make a bunch more of these to put on plain paper gift bags.
The medallion was made using the Scoring tool. My favorite tool next to the Big Shot. Of course the Holiday Stocking was cut out with my Big Shot as well as the ornament from the Stocking Accents die. The bling is the Dazzling Details glitter glue. And the Cherry Cobbler ribbon from the mini catalog too. I hope all these items make it into the Big Idea & Catalog next year. I just love them all. The faux stitching is made with the white gel pen.

What Are Your Plans This Weekend?
Does anyone have any big plans for this Labor Day weekend? Locally we have the Blue Hill Fair, but I don't think we are going. My big plans are studying for Human Biology, writing a bit for The Social and Emotion Development of Young Children, cleaning my craft room which has been neglected for so long! Last but not least making some small gifts for my stamp club members. Our first club meeting for the school year. Yippee! I can't wait to keep playing with all the awesome items from the Holiday Mini. Part of me wishes the holidays could last even longer! Can you tell I think this is one of the best mini catalogs we have had in awhile???
Well I am off to work on projects so I can have something to share with you guys.

New Toys- Yippeee!!!
There are still a few weeks of summer left, it's still 70 degrees at 9:30 at night. I am working on September's Stamp Club projects. A little Halloween is happening in my craft room already.
I'm also playing with my new toys from the Holiday Mini Catalog. You guys will have to see Stampin Up!'s new scoring tool. It is awesome-and my friend who is ruler impaired (love ya girlfriend) will love the place markers it has! There are new Christmas stamps, punches, dies for the Big Shot, paper, embellishments. I am as happy as a pig in mud! Here is a little sneak peek. The tag is a template I had cut from Real Red. I stamped in Always Artichoke. The new stamp set is called Stitched Stockings. It has an awesome matching punch. Who doesn't love a punch to make everything easier? Did you notice the little jingle bell on the ribbon? It makes a tiny little jingle noise. I will need to keep my cats away from those!

Anticipation
"Anticipation, anticipation, it's making me wait..." Ok quoting commercials from the late 70's that used Carly Simon's songs are really showing how old I am getting. I feel tortured like those little kids waiting for the ketchup to come out of the bottle. I keep going online to check to see if my preorder for the Holiday Mini catalog.
Christmas cards are my all time favorite to make. I have sooo many snowflakes it isn't funny (just don't tell my husband LOL) This year Stampin Up has out done themselves. Believe it or not-I didn't preorder a single snowflake! Of course I ordered every stinkin cute Christmas stocking they have! Plus the new tools. Someone should call the UPS company and warn our delivery person-he may get mauled at the door. Hmmm....he used to stop at the door and wait for me to answer it; now he barely knocks, drops the package and he is back in his truck by the time I get to the door. This behavior started once packages from Stampin' Up started to arrive. Maybe somebody did call and warn him. The substitute drives always wait....
Anyhow, once that special brown box arrives, my family are on their own. I will be lost in my craft room cutting, scoring, stamping, punching, and die cutting. I will be working on projects for a Holiday Open House. I might even get some cute autumn, Halloween, and Thanksgiving ideas in there too.
