New Look

Hi Stampers!

Have you noticed the new look to my blog? That is my new view that I get to see every morning now! Isn''t it amazing??  It was actually a photo I took this fall before we moved into our new house. Now there would be more snow not just on Mount Washington.

I got to move into my new home just about Thanksgiving. Thank goodness I don't host Thanksgiving, that would have been too crazy for me. For those of you who have followed me for a long time, you know this is my fourth move since my divorce. HOWEVER, THIS IS MY FINAL MOVE! Thank goodness.

Stampin Stace, Stacy Coombs

The photo on my header is actually from walking down the street a little. Here is a photo from my door step. Every window I see trees and mountains. Every sunrise and sunset I oooo and aaahh over the view.

My craft room is being unpacked a little at a time. I am on school vacation so hopefully I will have it ready to stamp by the end of next week.

While you wait for me to actually start crafting,  here is a photo of our dog looking out the window.

Whimsy & Wonder Anniversary Card

Hi Stampers!

Can you believe it is the end of August? I got back to work at my full time job today. I only have a few more months of my part time job with any luck. Kids will be going back to school if they haven't already. Autumn will be here before we know it. Sigh, where does the time go?

Have you been enjoying the July-December 2021 catalog? I know I have shared many Halloween ideas with you. Soon I will start some Christmas ideas with you.

Stampin Stace, Stacy Coombs, Stampin Up, #iwillusemyprettypaper, #loveitchopit, Create with Friends,

Don't you just love the Designer Series Paper in the July-December 2021 catalog? If you think Christmas DSP is just for Christmas, think again. If you think the paper is pretty use it on any card you like. #iwillusemyprettypaper, #loveitchopit

I actually made an anniversary card using Whimsy & Wonder DSP.  I just love the colors. The stamped images are from Create with Friends (one of this years must haves) and Mint Macaron ink.

I punched the hearts in Mint Macaron and Polished Pink card stock using the Heart Punch Pack. I added a little texture to the heart with the small stamp from Beauty of the Earth and Polished Pink ink.

Until next time,

Cute Halloween 6x6 Boxes

Hi Stampers1

Cute Halloween, #loveitchopit, #iwillusemyprettypaper, Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, A Wish for Everything, Festive and Bright

I LOVE the Cute Halloween 6x6 Designer Series Paper! I don't send many Halloween cards, however, I do love treat boxes.  I learned how to make these cute boxes from Sam Hammond. They are stinkin' cute and easy to make.

Stampin Stace, Stacy Coombs, Stampin Up,

If you paper had a set up and down pattern, have your pattern facing the correct directions. Score your 6x6 paper at 1", 2 3/4", 3 3/4", and 5 1/2". Rotate you paper 90° to the right and score at 1",  4", and 4 1/2". My pattern shows what pieces to cut away. I used the corner rounder on the front flap to give it a more polished look. Once the box is together, I used a Velcro circle to hold the flap down.

The black scull paper, I used the layer circle dies to cut the verse "Spooky" from the Festive and Bright stamp set along with the creepy little spider. I layered it on Black Glitter paper. The Ribbon is Metallic Mesh Ribbon.

The pink cat paper, I closed with the Blushing Bride Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon. The verse is from A Wish for Everything.

The last two were sealed with just the Velcro circles and the again the verse was from A wish for Everything.

I sure hope the kids I have these planned for like these cute goodie bags for Halloween.

Until next time

Biggest Wish Birthday Card

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stacy Coombs, Stampin Up, Biggest Wish, Tailor Made TagDies, #iwillusemyprettypaper, #loveitchopit

Here is a birthday card I made a friend. Have you noticed how much I say I love Biggest Wish stamp set?  This is a must have set!

I cut tags using Tailor Made Tag dies from Basic White and some retired Designer Series Paper (DSP). #iwillusemyprettypaper #loveitchopit

The card stock and inks used were Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight.  Also, I used some retired sequins and ribbon.

Sorry the color is so bad for the inside of this card. The stamped images are from It's Your day and Dressed To Impress. One thing about light colored card stock, you can stamp your verses without adding a white or vanilla layer.

Until next time,

Mini Gift Bags 6x6

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stacy Coombs, Stampin Up, gift bag, #loveitchopit, #iwillusemyprettypaper,

I made a couple little gift bags out of 6x6 Designer Series Paper. Two sheets is all it takes to make a bag. Score three sides at 1" and the fourth side at 1/2".

I had a set of Micky Mouse coaster for a gift I wanted to give. Three of the four fit in one bag. I had to make a second bag and I put them together with a belly band.

Here is a close up of the flower to cover the seam of the belly band.
I was so glad to use some of my pretty papers that I bought and never got to use during the school year. My friend loved the bag and the coasters (they were Micky Mouse).

Until next time,

Gingerbread and Peppermint 6x6 One Sheet Wonder

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Gingerbread and Peppermint, one sheet wonder, #iwillusemyprettypaper, #loveitchopit

The other day I made several Halloween cards with a one sheet wonder layout. Which I said I cut incorrectly but thats ok. I made this Christmas card with the Gingerbread and Peppermint 6" x6" Designer Series Paper. I love this! I have used almost the entire package already. I need to get some more!

I learned this this particular one sheet wonder pattern from a demonstrator named Michele. Sorry, I don't know her last name.

Stampin Stace, Stacy Coombs, Stampin Up, one sheet wonder

First measure over 3 7/8" and cut down so you will have a 3 7/8" x 6". Turn your paper 90° and cut 5 1/8".

Cut 2 1/4" and turn 90° and cut at 3". With the last remaining strip cut it at 2".

Click on the photo to zoom in.

Here are what the pieces look like cut apart.

Flip two diagonal panels over so both patterns of paper will show.  The base of the card is a standard half sheet of cardstock, 8 1/2" x 11" scored at 5 1/2". The card stock layer is 4 1/8" x 5 3/8". I used Mono glue to give so I had some wiggle room for getting these pieces aligned correctly.

I know I will be using this layout to use up some of my retired Designer Series Paper. #iwillusemyprettypapers #loveitchopit

Until next time,

Fun Frankie

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Stacy Coombs, Halloween, 3D

I made this Frankie box to hold M&M's. I picked out all the green ones to match Frankie's skin tone 😁.

His face is actually made from the Gingerbread dies. I used the circles that are used to cut peppermints. I traced the ornament die for the smile. I added a few scars with my Stampin' Write Marker.

I have made many Frankie boxes for a long time. I made one similar to this years ago. The box style is called a 2, 4, 6, 8 box. It measures 2" x 2" x 3.5".  However, you can make it taller.

Stampin Stace, Stacy Coombs, Stampin Up, 2468 box, Halloween, 3D
Start with a piece of card stock 8.5" x 5.5" for a box this size. Always score on the 8.5" side at 2, 4, 6, and 8". On the 5.5" side score at 2". Fold and burnish all score lines. Cut the bottom up to the horizontal score line. You'll want to cut the small rectangle shown in the template. Place glue on the 1/2" flap and bottom tabs. Frankie's hair is a 1" x 8.5" piece of Basic Black card stock that I cut V's into.

If you want a taller box, cut you card stock 8.5" x however tall you'd like your box to be. Score at 2", 4", 6", 8" along the 8.5" side and 2" on the other side to make the bottom.

Hope you make lots of Frankie's for all the little monsters in your life.

Until next time,
Stampin Stace, Stacy Coombs

Cute Halloween One Sheet Wonders

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, halloween, one sheet wonder, #iwillusemyprettypaper, #loveitchopit

I said I would not hoard the new Cute Halloween 6" x "6 Designer Series Paper. I used 4 sheets of the cutest paper from that pack. Who am I kidding, they're all cute-it's even in the name Cute!

I cut all my paper the same using a template but cut it wrong. 🙄 It doesn't matter though, I just trimmed all the papers to fit the cards. I plan on making another set with different paper and once I get the measurements correct I will share a template with you.  There are no mistakes in stamping, just opportunities to embellish as the saying goes. In this case, I just kept trimming 1/16" off at a time! I used Mono Adhesive on the DSP to give me time to align the rectangles since they had such a small boarder.

Here is the inside of the card.  I took a 1" strip of the Cute Halloween DSP and put it on the inside of the card. The verse is from A Wish For Everything and the cute little spider is from Festive and Bright stamped with Tuxedo Black.

The card stock is Highland Heather and Pumpkin Pie. I love that all of Stampin' Up! products coordinate with each other.

If you don't have a demonstrator and need a catalog please contact me and I can get one to you.

Until next time.

Mini Treat Bags

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Halloween, #iwillusemyprettypaper, #loveitchopit, treat bags, gift giving, 3D

Halloween is in the air with the new mini catalog that was released August 3, 2021. I LOVE the Designer Series Paper. #iwillusemyprettypaper #loveitchopit

I was wise with my purchases. I split packs of Designer Series Paper with a fellow demonstrator. That way I have less paper to NOT HOARD! 😂

Holiday catalogs mean gift giving to me. I start thinking Halloween and Christmas gifts for friends and coworkers.  Here is a great gift idea for coworkers. A mini treat bag. It will hold something small like a Hershey Kiss or a Dove Chocolate Square. No worries if you have many coworkers because two of these mini treat bags can be made from one sheet of 6"x6" DSP (Designer Series Paper).

Stampin Stace, Halloween, mini treat bag template
You want to start with a 3"x 4 1/2" piece of DSP. One the 4 1/2" side score at 1", 2", 3" and 4".  I remember the measurements by just counting 1, 2, 3, 4.

Next score on the 3" side score 1".

Cut on the thick lines and add adhesive to the half inch tab and the square tabs. I used Tear & Tape. Mono Adhesive would also work very well on this project.

Once your box shape is made pinch the top.  I added the chocolate and used a mini stapler to keep it closed. One of the boxes I added a 1/2 strip of Basic White card stock stamped with a spooky spider.  Depending on your design, the strip could be up to an inch wide. I loved this cute DSP (Designer Series Paper) so much I couldn't cover it up!

Until next time,

Stampin Stace

White Butterflies

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, STampin Up, Butterfly Brilliance

Have you ever wanted to stamp on colored card stock and color it? Well, you can.  I stamped Butterfly Brilliance  large background stamp on Pumpkin Pie card stock with Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the butterflies with White Craft ink using a blending pen.

I layered this on to Basic Black card stock and added Metallic Mesh ribbon.

Sadly this was another sympathy card I had to make recently. I hope I do not have to make any more sympathy cards for awhile.

Tomorrow Saleabration and the New Mini Catalog start.  I will be sharing some ideas from that catalog this week. Halloween and Christmas have been on my mind and craft table. I can't wait to share them with you.

Until next time,

Thinking of You Sympathy

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stacy Coombs, Stampin Up, Beautiful Moments, Beauty of the Earth, Tailor Made Dies

Sadly this week I have had to make sympathy cards which are the worst to make.  I let the emotion of the card come through with the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper.

The tag was cut using Tailor Made Dies and stamped with a verse from Days to Remember set. It's tied together with some linen thread.

I'm hoping my friend likes this card. She loves trees and pinecones, etc. She moved from Maine to Florida so pine trees  are no longer in her backyard.

Until next time,

Floral Get Well

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, So Sentimental, Daisy Lane

Not only have I had to make lots of summer birthday cards, sadly, I have to make get well cards and sympathy cards. Here is a get well card using retired paper. However, this paper has special meaning. It has some flowers on it that my daughter isn't allergic to so I have lots of it for her.

This is a get well card for her grandmother who fell.  I love Stampin' UP! Designer Series Paper because it is so gorgeous it can be the card itself.  Also, I decorated the flap of the card with DSP as well to make a get well card a little more special.

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Daisy Lane, So Sentimental

I have discovered I don't have any current sets with get well verses, so I used So Sentimental that is retired. I stamped the inside with the flower in Daisy Lane. Daisies are a special flower in our family because it is the one cut flower we can have in the house and my daughter can still breathe. So of course I stamped the card multiple times with it.

Until next time.

It's Your Day Birthday

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, A Day to Remember, Beauty of Friendship, A Good Man

I have made a birthday card for a gentleman turning 60. I used my Beauty of Friendship Bundle for this card and coordinating Designer Series Paper which is on sale for the month of July.

For the front of the card I used a layer of Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper which is this beautiful sky background.
I stamped directly on it with a tree stamp from Beauty of Friendship. The tree top is Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, and a dash of Merry Merlot. I cut it using the Beautiful Tree dies. The verse is from A Day to Remember.

The base of my card is Merry Merlot. I embossed the Cinnamon Cider layer with the 3D Bark embossing folder. I love how detailed the embossing folders are. A little tip when using the 3D embossing folders is to spritz a little rubbing alcohol on your paper first. This helps to keep your card stock from tearing and makes it more pliable.

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, A Day to Remember, Beauty of Friendship, A Good Man

Now for the inside. I used the same stamp to make the lawn the way I did for the tree top. I colored Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Merry Merlot directly on to the stamp using markers.

I stamped the relaxing man and verse from A Good Man.  Like I said, you should get to relax on your birthday.

Until next time,
Stampin Stace

Floral Birthday

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, A Grand Kid, A Wish for everything, Create with Friends

I have lots of birthday to make this month. This one is for a sweet little girl who is turning 10! She is so grown up reaching double digits.

Again #iwillusemyprettypaper #loveitchopit because pretty paper needs to be shared not hoarded!

I used several stamp sets on this simple, simple card. I used A Wish For Everything, A Grand Kid, and Create with Friends.

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, A Grand Kid, A Wish for everything, Create with Friends

I love how Stampin' Up! papers, ink and markers coordinate so much.  You can color part of a stamp with a marker or ink the entire stamp with an ink pad.

You can use a little more of your pretty paper on the inside of your card to add some pretty color. In an attempt to #iwillusemyprettypaper #loveitchopit I am adding a layer of DSP to my envelope flaps as well. I think I have been converted to a paper envelopes. Before I always mailed my cards in clear envelopes because I figured I made pretty cards, everyone should get to enjoy them including postal workers.

Until next time,

Stampin Stace

Thow Back Thursday!

Hi Stampers!

Today I am using up some my retired Designer Series Paper like I have been for quite awhile because #iwillusemyprettypaper #loveitchopit .  I will not hoard my pretty papers any more!
I am using paper called Celebration.  I tried Googling how old this paper is-I couldn't find it! 🤯. I thought Google knew everything. I bet this paper is 10 years old give or take.

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, 16, teenager, boy cards

I have two boys turning 16 this month. I thought these bright colors would be great for teenage boys.

These cards are simple Z fold cards, but it adds some extra interest and shows more of that Designer Series Paper. Turning 16 is a big deal so I used the Playful Alphabet Dies to cut 16 from Real Red. I used Stitched So Sweetly dies to layer it on.

The verse is from Handsomely Suited with Real Red ink. I hope the teenagers love these cards as much as I do!

So what is the oldest pretty paper you need to use up?  Make sure you start using it up, we want to share our pretty paper!

Until next time.

Biggest Wish Birsthday

Hi Stampers!

biggest wishes, #iwillusemyprettypaper, #loveitchopit

I told you the other day a must have stamp set it Create with Friends.  Another MUST HAVE is Biggest Wishes!

I love the bold fonts mixed with script writing.  I used Poppy Parade and Old Olive for my stamped images. I  added a little piece of my DSP (Designer Series Paper) to the bottom of the inside of the card to dress it up a bit.

Some of you may recognize this retired paper, however, I am determined not hoard pretty paper anymore. #iwillusemyprettypaper #loveitchopit.

I glued a piece of DSP to my envelope as well to make sure I use every scrap.

If you're wondering what the front looks like, I used a large piece of DSP on the front.

A few layers of card stock, DSP and ribbon and you can have a gorgeous card in just minutes.

Now, I need to make sure I send out cards once I make them, otherwise it's still hoarding pretty paper 😉.

Until next time,

Celebrating Anniversaries!

Hi Stampers!

Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, #iwillusemypettypaper, #loveitchopit, #simplestamping
Here is a card with one of my MUST HAVE STAMP SETS Create With Friends. I just love the trend of print and script fonts together.

I made this card for a couple who have been married for 29 years!  She loves floral DSP (Designer Series Paper) and green, so of course I used a piece of Beauty of the Earth DSP.

I used Misty Moonlight and Mossy Meadow for my stamping. I did use a retired stamp to make the speckles to imitate the DSP.

The inside of the card used my other must have stamp sets Biggest Wishes and A wish For Everything.  I told you I just love script and print fonts mixed together!

Until next time,
