Strong Women or Strong Toilet Paper ๐Ÿงป ?

Hi Stampers!

I hope you are safe and well avoiding Covid 19 virus.  In Maine, schools have been closed for a full two weeks. Now non-essential stores are closing, etc.  Like many places, toilet paper is hard to find.

Yesterday, I saw the funniest post from Brenda Quintana. She made a cute gag gift. A box big enough to hold a roll of toilet paper. It made me laugh so much I knew I had to make one too!

I knew I had to find a funny saying,  I used a verse from Here’s to Strong Women. I used to Basic
Black marker and crossed out women and wrote toilet paper.  I added a few gems from the From My Heart faceted gem pack to add a little bling. I still had some silver twine to add a little more dimension.

I’m not sure whose doorstep I will leave this on. I know people who have had to go out of town to get toilet paper ๐Ÿ™„. With any luck people will calm down, stay inside, and the quarantine will be over before we know it. I am going to try to craft as much as I can. I am still working from home.

Until next time,

Here’s To Strong Woman as a Masculine Card

Hi Stampers!

Today I challenged myself to make a masculine card because #Iwillusemyprettypaper #loveitchopit  and I determined to use my Designer Series Paper!

I searched my stamps to look for something masculine. Why did it have to be a tree or nature? Those are my go to stampmset for masculine since I live in Maine and the men in my family spend lots of time in the woods.

I remembered seeing a card using this verse from  Here’s To Strong Women used as a superhero type card. If it can be used for a kids card, why not a masculine card?

I LOVE the new Stitched So Sweetly dies. I used them to layer the verse. I added some gold sequins from the Peaceful Poppies Sequins pack.  I continued to use the stamp set to stamp the inside. I used my Basic Back marker to ink just the words from the verse “You’ve got this, girl”that I needed.  The stars are stamped with Tuxedo Black ink.

With a little imagination we can make our stamps go a little further.  It’s wonderful to make that happen!

Until next time,

In Color Paradise

Hi Stampers!

It’s almost time for Stampin’ Up! to release the retirement list.  We won’t know fo sure what is on that list until they release it with the exception of 2018-2020 In Colors.  Guess what, in my paper hoarding I haven’t used all my cardstock since I LOVE bright colors. No more #Iwillusemyprettypaper #loveitchopit I have Designer Series Paper I need to use up as well.

I had to challenge myself to use the sheets of Tropical Oasis DSP that came with the mini trimmer during Saleabration.  As you know, I am a Maine girl; give me a pine tree and I can create a beautiful card.  Tropical flowers are a little out of my comfort zone.  I don’t own any tropical stamps of any kind! How the heck was I going to use up that paper?  Well, I started going through all the current verses I had.  Guess what?  Telling someone they are wonderful works with any type of card. So there, I had everything I needed.

I chose to use my 2018-2020 In Color cardstock with the DSP.  Then all I had to do was pull a coordinating color from the paper.  I used Real Red ink to stamp the verse.  Then I cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle dies and sponged the edges with Call Me Clover ink.  TaaaDaaa I am not a pretty paper hoarder.  How cool is that?  ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Until next time,

Christmas Stampathon 2020 Challenge

Hi Stampers!

I belong to a group on Facebook- Christmas Stampathon 2020.  Each month there is a design challenge; and you must create 4 cards for each challenge. At the end of the year you will have competed 48 Christmas cards to send out.  I challenged myself a bit further having two cards in portrait and two cards in landscape. I look forward to more of these challenges to relieve a little stress during the holiday season.

I am trying to use up my 2018-2020 In Colors card stock before it retires. I used the Let It Snow Designer Series Paper that went with the stamp set (now retired). #Iwillusemyprettypaper #loveitchopit
I also used up a few remaining candy dots I had in coordinating colors.

I stamped this cute little guy in Memento black ink and colored him with Pool Party and Pumpkin Pie markers.  Punched him out with a 2” Circle Punch and then layered him on a Pool Party Starburst Punch piece. I just love this set and this little guy seems so happy, doesn’t he?

Until next time,
