One Line Card Classes

Hi Stampers!

I am excited to announce my first online card class. Online classes are very much like my live classes; however, you get to do it in the comfort of your own home whenever you want and you can even stay in your pajamas if you like!

To participate order $35 worth of product (before S/H and tax)  using the hostess code of the month. I will let you know what stamp set I plan on using but if you would prefer a different set, feel free to order the products you like.

Orders must be placed by the 4th Sunday of the month.  I will mail out supplies to make 8 cards (2 each of 4 designs). I pre-cut and punch everything needed.  You need to supply the stamps, ink and  adhesive.  Stampin’ Up! guidelines do not allow me to send stamped images for online classes.  This is why I will let you know which products I will be using so if you’d like to use the exact images I am using.

After orders are placed I will email you a PDF file with the directions on how to assemble your cards.  There will be a video link as well.

Class includes 2 of each of the cards pictured above.. We will be using items from the From My Heart Suite. If you purchase the Heartfelt bundle, you are just $5 from earning a Saleabration item to your order.  You may want to add Heart doilies, gems or red ribbon.

January’s Hostess Code SUNT7UVQ . Make sure to add this code to your order to receive your PDF and video link to create these adorable Valentines cards.

If you have questions feel free to contact me.

Until next time,

What Do I Need If I’m Just Starting to Stamp?

Hi Stampers!

Wednesday I posted how to cut card cases with the new Paper Trimmer.  Then I was asked HOW DO I MAKE CARDS IF I AM NEW TO STAMPING AND DON’T HAVE A PAPER TRIMMER? Guess what Stampin’ Up! and I have you covered!

Have you ever noticed the Notecards and Envelopes?  They come in Whisper White and Very Vanilla.  There are 20 cards and envelopes per package. They are pre-scored and ready for stamping.  I would recommend Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad and a set of markers in a color collection you like (Neutrals, Rich Regals, Soft Subtles or the Brights collections).  Also, not shown in the photo, the stamp set you like and at least Clear Block D.

Clear Block D is 2 7/8” x 2 11/16”; just shy of a 3 x 3”.  It will fit quite a few of the stamps. Any image that is larger than 3’ x 3” I would recommend Block E or Block F.

Here are a few samples I made using Dressed to Impress and Little Ladybug Hostess set.  ASK ME HOW YOU CAN EARN THIS SET FOR FREE!

I used the 2018-2020 In Color Markers to color the cards.  Don’t forget to decorate your envelopes too. People love Happy Snail Mail.

Right now if you wanted to start stamping and were to purchase all these items plus a stamp set, you would be able to earn a free item from the Saleabration catalog as well.  Make sure you order online or contact me to place an order.

Until next time,

Happy Stampin’

Using the Paper Trimmer for Cutting Card Stock

Hi Stampers!

I wanted to share some basic techniques with you since I have some new stampers joining my stamping friends. Starting with cutting card stock.

The new Paper Trimmer has been released along with Cutting Blade Replacements. This trimmer will cut card stock and Designer Series Paper in a snap.  You will notice it has two blades on it.  The black blade is for cutting card stock and 12 x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP). The gray blade with score both card stock and DSP.  The ruler extends to 15”.  It has an easy to read grid on the base in both inches and metric.

American card stock comes in 8.5 x 11”.  It can be cut in half either landscape or portrait.  For my teacher friends, it can be cut in half hot dog bun or hamburger bun 😀.  Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.

If you start off you paper in portrait—you will cut it at the 4 1/4” mark and score it at 5 1/2’.  If you start in landscape— you will cut it at 5 1/2” and score at 4 1/4”.  I have made a quick video to show you this. Here is a quick little video on how to cut card stock for card bases in inches.

I sure hope that helped.

Until next time,

December Paper Pumpkin

Hi Stampers!
I hope the beginning of this new year has found you doing well.  I wanted to share with you my Paper Pumpkin cards from December’s kit.  I know it seems late, however, since Paper Pumpkin for December was such a huge success and the holidays, it was late December when I actually received my kit.

This kit is amazing.  I hope you got a chance to order.  Remember Paper Pumpkin needs to be ordered by the 10th of each month.  Paper Pumpkin is wonderful for new stampers. Your first order comes with a clear block.  This kit came with 13 verse stamps:
Feel better soon
So very sorry
Just because
Hey friend
It’s your day
You’re the best
Let’s celebrate
Happy birthday
Congratulations
Good luck
Thank you
Love you lots
Mr. & Mrs. plus a stamp with a trio of flowers.

The next kit that needs to be ordered by January 10th.  You can place your order here.  It will be celebrating Valentine’s Day. It will coordinate with the Heart Punch Pack. The kit will include 20 treat bags and 10 mini cards and envelopes. I can’t wait to play with this kit. Usually, all you need to add is your adhesive. Again, make sure you order by January 10th.  As always with Paper Pumpkin you can  pick and choose how you’d like to subscribe.  It can be monthly or you can order subscriptions in 3,6, or 12 month subscriptions.

I also want to give you a little more background on the behind the scene activities.  I am trying to create how to videos.  I actually have to make honest to goodness videos.  In my apartment that includes internet isn’t fast enough to do any type of live streaming.  I live in a valley of mountains so even if I tried using my phone, I only get two bars.  So that means I have to created a video and go someplace else to upload it.  I tried uploading a video today that was 2 minutes long.  It was going to take an hour to upload.  I do not have patients for that!!  So be looking for a video later this week.  It will be on how to make 6 cards out of one sheet of Designer Series Paper.

Until next time,

Happy Stampin’

Bold New Year

Hi Stampers!

Did you all stay up to welcome in the new year?  I went to bed 😊.  I played with the new Dressed to Impress Bundle that will be available January 3.  Just a couple more days .  I love this new Mini Catalog.  Before they were always called the Occasions catalog but that is changing this year since Stampin' Up! is now in many countries around the world!

I absolutely love this saying "Be as bold as your lipstick".  The little makeup brushes and beauty products are just adorable.  I made an entire set of these note cards to be used as Thank You note for a person I know that is a make up demonstrator.

This package of Designer Series Paper also has beautiful flowers and shoes.  I love everything about this bundle.  My mother, several of my friends and I all worked in a shoe store once upon a time.

I can't wait to get to play with this set and many others more.  Over the holiday break, Santa brought me a new rolling cart that I can put my supplies on to roll out to my kitchen table to craft.  Oh I miss the days of
having a spare bedroom to keep all my crafts in.  Now, in my small apartment, all craft supplies are kept in my bedroom.

Did you notice on everyone one of these cards I used my Designer Series Paper.  I will not hoard pretty paper anymore.  #iwillusemyprettypaper #loveitchopit .  I am following the advice of UK Demonstrator Kylie Bertucci, don't save pretty things for special occasions.  If you love it, use it!  BE BRAVE AND CUT THAT PRETTY PAPER!

Card #3 used the cute perfume bottles. Did anyone ever save perfume for special occasions too?

I used my aqua-painter to water color all the images I stamped.
I made 30 lipsticks and 10 perfume bottles.  It didn't take long to cut them out thanks to the coordinating dies in this bundle. 40 note cards completed in one afternoon due to the dies.

As I mentioned early, the new catalog and Saleabration starts on January 3, 2020.  So for every $50 increments  you spend (prior to shipping/handling & tax) you get to choose a special Saleabration item.   If you don't have a demonstrator and would like to have these new catalogs contact me stampinstace@gmail.com and I will gladly get one to you.

Until next time,

Happy Stampin'
