Little Lady Bug

Hi Stampers!

Today is Friday the 13th but who could have bad luck with these cute little lady bugs?

I created this card using some Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper (which sold out during Saleabration), layered on a Poppy Parade card base. I stamped the image with Memento ink and colored it with blender pens.

I used a 2” circle punch to cut the image. I punched the Pine Tree punch on Granny apple Green card

stock. I turned the tree sideways to make grass and cut the extra off. These were layered onto the layer of Granny Apple Green which I punched with the Starburst Punch.

I had some retired Saleabration ribbon from last year that seemed to go nicely. The lady bug is raised with dimensionals. I left the inside blank so I can add a sentiment later on depending on the occasion.

I think I may need to make a few more cards with the lady bugs while I can.

St. Patrick Gnome Treat Bag

Hi Stampers!

St. Patrick’s Day in next week. I got thinking about leprechauns, but I am in love with the little gnome punch art figures that have been everywhere. Is there such thing as a Leprechaun Gnome? I don’t know but I am using this little guy on a small gift bag made from 6x6” paper. I put in gold coin chocolates in the bag. Gheridelli chocolates would also fit in the bag.

I used the Pine Tree Punch (that is being carried over from the Holiday catalog) to punch a Garden Green hat that I sponged with coordinating ink. The nose is a half in circle punched from Blushing Bride card stock. The beard is Crushed Curry card stock sponged with coordinating ink. I used the tip of the tree from In the Woods dies. He is mounted on Basic Gray card stock that I cut using the stitched oval dies.

I did use two retired products. One was the Candy Dots on the hat. I was going for a polka dot look. The second item you can’t see is a retire mini clothes pin to close the bag. You could use ribbon, mini library clips or brads to hold the bag shut.

Paper Pumpkin Birthday

Hi Stampers!

February Paper Pumpkin is all about birthdays and here is one of the cards from the kit that coordinates with the Happy Birthday o You stamp from the Saleabration catalog.

Sadly, the beginning of the year I needed sympathy cards. Now, I’m in birthday mode! It is hard to see in the photo, the celebrate is a metallic rose color. It is beautiful and elegant. Stampin’ Up! out did themselves this month.

Timeless Tulips

Hi Stampers!

Do you ever get Stampers Block? You know when you can’t decide what to stamp or you just can’t come up with an idea. I get that too. A great place to start is looking at the samples in the catalogs.

This card was inspired by the catalog, but I didn’t have everything Stampin’ Up! used in there sample, so I improvised. I used supplies to give the same feel as the card samples.

I decided to use the Easter sentiment since I don’t think I own a current Easter set. The banners end were cut by hand with my paper snips.

It’s ok not to have your card to look exactly like something you’ve seen in the catalog or online. Use what you have that is similar. Remember we want to use our stamp supplies, not hoard them!
