Best Dressed A Little Hello

Hi Stampers!

I think I will be all caught up with week with showing you things I created during the summer.  I had Designer Series Paper I wanted to use up.  Remember I will use my pretty paper!

I cut a 2" strip of DSP, and attached it to a layer of embossed card stock. I tied white ribbon around the card.

I cut layers with the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I am not sure where the verse came from. Something that just retired in June...

I hope you enjoyed todays project.

Until next time,

Christmas Challenge

Hi Stampers!

StampinStace Stampin Up! Chrstmas
I am still catching up from this spring.  Again, this is a card I made with what at the time was current stamp sets but they have since retired.
I used Flourishing Phrases to create this Christmas card challenge which was to use a non Christmas stamp set to create a Christmas card.  I had some gold glitter paper to cut Merry Christmas with some retired dies.

Now, I need to get caught up on the rest of these challenges.  If I do I will have all my Christmas cards completed before December.  I will be ahead this year for a change.

I hope you enjoyed todays projects.

Until next time.

Best Dressed Congratulations

Hi Stampers!

Like I said the other day, I’m playing catch up. Today’s card has Designer Series Paper and a stamp set that is retired.  If you’re like me, you probably still have some of the paper and you could substitute a verse. I am working on using my pretty paper.

My dear friend has decided to go back to school and be an EMT. She loves shoes. In fact, she has a specific pair of red shoes and takes photos of the red shoes when she travels etc.. She calls her photo album “Traveling Adventures of the Red Shoes” 😉

Well, when I learned that she passed her final exams I knew what paper I had to use!

I stamped the verse with black Staz-On ink on vellum.

The inside I stamped the background three times without re-inking  in between.  “You did it” was stamped in Tuxedo Black. My friend was so nervous that she was going to fail. The rest of us knew she wouldn’t.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.

Until next time,

Umbrella of Hope

Hi Stampers!

I’ve missed you. I have been gone a LONG time.  I hope you have been adjusting to the “new normal”. My last school day was March 13 with students. Then through June we had remote learning and different programs to help students and their families. Things settled down for a little bit, now we’re getting ready to open schools in a few weeks so we are learning more ways to keep kids safe and healthy.

Have you missed your everyday routine? I miss students, coworkers and high speed internet 😉

Under My Umbrella Stampin Up

Here is a little umbrella card I made using Under My Umbrella. It is inspired by many paintings I’ve seen at painting parties.

It was fun using the masking technique.  I used blender pens to colors these. One of my first attempts using blender pens. I will be building my collection.

Everything can be ordered online.

Until next time,

Boxed Bunny Treats

Hi Stampers!

I am making more bunnies with the Daisy Punch and the Balloon Bouquet Punch.

I used Blushing Bride card stock to punch a ballon for the body. I cut off the tab. I punched a daisy and cut off but two petals for the head. I sponged them with Flirty Flamingo ink.

The grass is Pear Pizzazz card stock. I happen to have an old grass punch, but some snips easily make grass. I used Tear & Tape to adhere it to a Clear Tiny Treat box.

I used glue dots to adhere the bunny to the box.  I used Peaceful Poppy sequins for the flowers and tail. I love the flower shaped sequins! They were perfect for this project.

I filled the box with chocolate carrots I got at the local department store. Oh my goodness these are so cute! I hope my daughter likes this as much as I do.

Until next time,

Hoppy Easter

Hi Stampers!

Spring is here and before we know it Easter will be here too. I was in a bit of panic that I don’t have a current Easter set. Punches to the rescue!

The eggs I punched from Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper using the Balloon Bouquet Punch. I cut the little tab off. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink to give them a little more depth.

The bunnies are punched using the Daisy Punch and Medium Daisy Punch and some of the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper. I cut off all but two petals per punch.

All of the eggs and bunnies are mounted to a piece of So Saffron card stock embossed with Coastal Weave embossing folder.  I added another layer of Grapefruit Grove card stock. I wrapped a piece of retire Grapefruit Grove ribbon. All of this was placed on notecard. A few sequins from Saleabration were added as well.

I think I’ll be making more of these to send out.

Until next time,
