Paper Pumpkin Birthday

Hi Stampers!

February Paper Pumpkin is all about birthdays and here is one of the cards from the kit that coordinates with the Happy Birthday o You stamp from the Saleabration catalog.

Sadly, the beginning of the year I needed sympathy cards. Now, I’m in birthday mode! It is hard to see in the photo, the celebrate is a metallic rose color. It is beautiful and elegant. Stampin’ Up! out did themselves this month.

Paper Pumpkin is an awesome program, once a month a stamping kits comes right to the mailbox. Everything but adhesive is in the box. Make sure you sign up by the 10th of the month to receive your Paper Pumpkin kit. You can order several different ways:

Timeless Tulips

Hi Stampers!

Do you ever get Stampers Block? You know when you can’t decide what to stamp or you just can’t come up with an idea. I get that too. A great place to start is looking at the samples in the catalogs.

This card was inspired by the catalog, but I didn’t have everything Stampin’ Up! used in there sample, so I improvised. I used supplies to give the same feel as the card samples.

I decided to use the Easter sentiment since I don’t think I own a current Easter set. The banners end were cut by hand with my paper snips.

It’s ok not to have your card to look exactly like something you’ve seen in the catalog or online. Use what you have that is similar. Remember we want to use our stamp supplies, not hoard them!

Blessed Dressed Birthday

Hi Stampers!

Today I have a birthday card using Best Dressed Designer Series Paper and some of the In Colors before they retire at the end of May. I used Grapefruit Grove card stock and I embossed it with the Tufted 3D embossing folder. I think this folder looks like a purse, don’t you?

I used Gorgeous Grape card stock to layer a strip of the best Dressed DSP onto. Again I used some ribbon from last years Saleabration to tie a knot. The birthday verse is from February’s Paper Pumpkin with the sequins.

This card is for a friend who is turning a big 35! She’s a great friend, mom and wife. She deserves many more wonderful birthdays.

Best Dressed Sympathy Card

Hi Stampers!

Here is another sympathy card I made recently. I love the paper from the Best Dressed 6x6” Designer Series Paper. I placed a layer of vellum over the top to make it softer and more delicate.

The Designer Series Paper and vellum were layered on to Blackberry Bliss card stock. I used some ribbon from last years Saleabration. Everything was placed on a Garden Green card base.

I used the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut out the verse. It was raised with dimensionals. I used Granny Apple Green blender pens to color some rhinestones
