Watercolor Wings Layout Challenge BSU022818

Hi Stampers!
Broke Stampers Unite has another wonderful layout challenge.
I decided to use my Bold Butterfly set since I am so so tired of winter.  I am ready for spring, birds, flowers and butterflies. I want lots of blue skies.
I was inspired by this color combination by a card I saw on Pinterest.  These colors say anything but cold winter temperatures.

Let's see what Carol and Terri have created this week.  Join us on Facebook, we would love to see what you've created.

Eclipse Technique BSU 022118

Hi Stampers!

Broke Stampers Unite has another great technique challenge this month.  Have you heard of the Eclipse Technique?  It can be done with any punch or framelit. Many ideas I have seen online are used with the Alphabet framelits.  I decided to use the Detailed Dragonfly thinlits.

I stamped the large image from Dragonfly Dreams and used my Aqua Painter to color in the wings. Next, I cut it with the thinlits.

For the Eclipse technique, you can raise the image with dimensionals directly above the opening or off set it slightly.

Let's check out what Terri and Carol have come up with this week.  I am sure they have some great creations.  Join us on Facebook, we would love to see your creations.

Friendship Cappuccino Color Challenge BSU 021418

Hi Stampers!  Happy Valentines Day!

Today I am sharing a Broke Stampers Unite color challenge.  We had to use Basic Black, Read Red, Pink Pirouette, and Whisper White. Very Valentine colors.

I tried switching it up a bit, since most people will have already created and mailed their Valentine's Day cards.  I decided to make a card for a dear friend.  We have plans to meet up next week.

I fell in love with the Coffee Cafe bundle as soon as it came out.  I am a coffee lover and so are many of my friends.  What a better combination.

Let's see what Carol and Terri are up to this week.  Join us on Facebook, we would love to see your creations as well.

Valentine's Broke Stampers Unite Challenge 021018

Hi Stampers!
Are you ready for Valentine's Day?  I created my beautiful daughter a Valentine's Day card who turned 13 a few days ago.  Where did the time go?

Her favorite color is purple which was the starting point of this card. Ellegant Eggplant. I love the Timeless Textures stamp set which inspired the Crumb Cake cardstock.  It is great for antiquing. I used the the heart from the Mini Treat Bag thinlits.

Daisy Delight BSU Challenge 013118

Hi Stampers!

I have another Broke Stampers Unite Challenge.  This one is a layout design challenge.

I used the punch from the Daisy Delight bundle, along with the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.  The base is Calypso Coral.  The layers are Calypso Coral and Old Olive.  The flower is punched from Daffodil Delight.  I sponged the leaves and center with Calypso Coral and Old Olive.

I used the square stitched framelits to cut the layers. The verse is from Flourishing Phrases. The ribbon is a piece of burlap I unraveled.

Let's see what Terri and Carol have created this week.  Terri's blog is here.  Carol's blog is here.  Join us on Facebook here, we would love to have you  share your creations with us.

Glitter Technique BSU Challenge 01242018

Hi Stampers!  Welcome back.  I have been a little behind on my blogging.  I am working on getting caught up today.

Today I am posting a Broke Stampers Unite Challenge.  The Glitter Technique.  I have wanted to do this technique for sooooo long but haven't tried it because sometimes glitter gets everywhere!

Have you ever tried this technique?  It is actually quite easy.  Start with a cut image.  I used the Rose Garden thinlit. Then I placed packing tape on the back side of the cut image.  You want the sticky side of the tape facing up. Trim excess tape off so it is only behind the image.  Sprinkle glitter on the tape.

I know you are thinking "Stace, Stampin' Up! doesn't sell pink glitter!" You can make any color glitter you want.  I put some glitter in a ziplock baggie, added a few drops of reinker. Mix it together.  Taaadaa, a coordinating color!

Let's check out what Carol and Terri have come up with for this challenge.  Carol's bog is here. Terri's blog is here.  Join us on Facebook here, we would love to see your creations.
