More MDS2

I told you the other day I was going to try to do a scrapbook page with the free trial of My Digital Studio 2.  Here it is!  This was a template and all I had to do was drag the photos to the box.  My father in law received a bunch of pool toys for his summer vacation from his coworkers.  Instantly, my daughter had to see what was in the bag and play with it!  She was such a goof ball showing off that day-especially since she lost THREE teeth within days of each other and had a giant, gaping hole in the front of her mouth.

The second one was a little more time consuming.  Not hard, just time consuming.  The dotted paper is a filled punch that had been stretched out.  I tried to get the paper design to imitate the beach ball somewhat.  It was only a matter of tilting the punch in the correct direction.  Eventually I got the page to look the way I wanted.  What do you think?  Are you going to try MDS2 for FREE?

Monster Munchies

Monster Munchies Clear-Mount Stamp Set
Have you seen this set in the Holiday catalog?  As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted it for my daughter and my best friend.  Both are in second grade.  My friend is the teacher-not a student.  The second grade class hosts a Halloween party every year.  It never has junk food, It's all healthy food with gross names.  They have things like Swamp Soup (a green vegetable soup).  As soon as I saw the stamp that says "Spider Cider"  I knew I wanted that for apple juice boxes.  I made some very basic ones to show my friend.  (I made them very basic because second graders do not appreciate the fact you took time to cover their little juice boxes.)  A second choice is using the top note die as a bag topper.

Hi Stampers.  School has started and it is getting cooler out.  It is only part way through September and I am just getting ready for Halloween .

I do have  family members who do appreciate home made items. Grandparents!  Grandparents love home made items. No, I won't be giving the grandparents prune juice boxes!  My daughter has pretty young and hip grandparents.  My father in law is a celiac-which means he cannot have anything with gluten (wheat products).  This limits his diet quite a bit.  Not only does it mean he cannot have bread, most cereals etc.  It limits his adult beverages too.  Recently we have found a hard cider that is gluten free and he loves it.  Yep CIDER.  He is getting ADULT SPIDER CIDER as a gift this Halloween.
It isn't only the children who can enjoy Halloween parties/events.

My Digital Studio 2

Ok so you have probably heard people talking about My Digital Studio, then My Digital Studio 2 (MDS2).  Well, I bought MDS way back when they first released it.  I was going to be a scrapbooker.  Yep, still waiting for that to happen.  Now there is MDS2.  Better & easier they said.  I wasn't really sure it was something I wanted to invest in.  I like the feel of paper, touching it, etc.  I have made a few pages when I have been really challenged to do it.

I am not saying I will every be a scrapbooker.  I am just a scrapbooker wannabe. However, when I went to a training in Rhode Island, I was VERY impressed with demonstration of the new things that could be done with MDS2.  Things like changing the color of words or letters in a verse stamp.  Check out this video.

Is that cool or what??  So I decided I was going to try the FREE 30 DAY TRIAL VERSION.  I did download it.  I did make the card you see above.  I wish I remembered which stamp sets I used.  Unfortunately, I kept clicking on different stamp sets.  At one point the card had butterflies on it, it said Hello.  It was purple, then blue.  You get the idea.  But the cool part was, I could change all those things without cutting more paper!  Finally, I decided to leave it basically the original colors and I only changed the opacity. I decided I really liked this design.  I used it for the cover photo on my facebook page. Maybe I will have to try a few scrapbook pages.

Shake Your Booty!

The stamp club season has started. And I actually think I know where most of my stamping supplies are.  A few small boxes of old misc. items left but for now they can stay there.

The Bucksport Stamp Club, as they are called, had a Wicked Good Time. (Yes, I know for you southerners that doesn't make any sense at all...) Originally, I had to beg borrow and steal to get enough members to join the group.  When all was said and done, not only was there ladies from the stamp club but four guests as well! Plus, sweet adorable young lady who was sent by her mom to make the projects (mom wasn't home in time LOL).

Here is the card project we made.  I just love the witches boot from the Bootiful Occasions stamp set. Of course this card also used the Big Shot.  (If you don't own one, I highly recommend telling Santa you want one for Christmas.)  We embossed the black card base with the spider web folder and highlighted it with the glimmer watermark ink pad from the Holiday Catalog.

The boot is embossed with Gumball Green embossing powder. Colored it with markers.  A little designer series paper and dotted ribbon....There you have it!  Isn't it just adorable??  I think I will make some more of these for my witchy friends.
