text-align: center;"><br /></div><br />Hi Stampers! <div><br /></div><div>Have you noticed the new look to my blog? That is my new view that I get to see every morning now! Isn''t it amazing?? It was actually a photo I took this fall before we moved into our new house. Now there would be more snow not just on Mount Washington.</div><div><br /></div><div>I got to move into my new home just about Thanksgiving. I got back to work at my full time job today. I only have a few more months of my part time job with any luck. Kids will be going back to school if they haven't already. Autumn will be here before we know it. Sigh, where does the time go?</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Have you been enjoying the July-December 2021 catalog? I know I have shared many Halloween ideas with you. Soon I will start some Christmas ideas with you. <br /></span><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9HItWQcQqVg/YRVaug3WxCI/AAAAAAAAEOA/L1_AsPhEwVIFJJMgxaQilmDSPepAldZdACPcBGAsYHg/s4032/final.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Stampin Stace, Stacy Coombs, Stampin Up, #iwillusemyprettypaper, #loveitchopit, Create with Friends," border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9HItWQcQqVg/YRVaug3WxCI/AAAAAAAAEOA/L1_AsPhEwVIFJJMgxaQilmDSPepAldZdACPcBGAsYHg/w320-h240/final.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: medium;">Don't you just love the Designer Series Paper in the July-December 2021 catalog? If you think Christmas DSP is just for Christmas, think again. If you think the paper is pretty use it on any card you like. #iwillusemyprettypaper, #loveitchopit</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">I actually made an anniversary card using Whimsy & Wonder DSP. My pattern shows what pieces to cut away. I used the corner rounder on the front flap to give it a more polished look. Once the box is together, I used a Velcro circle to hold the flap down.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">The black scull paper, I used the layer circle dies to cut the verse "Spooky" from the Festive and Bright stamp set along with the creepy little spider. I used 4 sheets of the cutest paper from that pack. Who am I kidding, they're all cute-it's even in the name Cute!</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">I cut all my paper the same using a template but cut it wrong. 🙄 It doesn't matter though, I just trimmed all the papers to fit the cards. I plan on making another set with different paper and once I get the measurements correct I will share a template with you. There are no mistakes in stamping, just opportunities to embellish as the saying goes. In this case, I just kept trimming 1/16" off at a time! I used Mono Adhesive on the DSP to give me time to align the rectangles since they had such a small boarder.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RmjYoXet7Y4/YQfuWkKO1FI/AAAAAAAAEHY/ctQRmqypIlEAN6PvShKItzzuAPy9s0QagCPcBGAsYHg/s4032/final.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="168" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RmjYoXet7Y4/YQfuWkKO1FI/AAAAAAAAEHY/ctQRmqypIlEAN6PvShKItzzuAPy9s0QagCPcBGAsYHg/w126-h168/final.jpg" width="126" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Here is the inside of the card. I LOVE the Designer Series Paper. #iwillusemyprettypaper #loveitchopit </span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">I was wise with my purchases. I split packs of Designer Series Paper with a fellow demonstrator. That way I have less paper to NOT HOARD! 😂</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Holiday catalogs mean gift giving to me. I start thinking Halloween and Christmas gifts for friends and coworkers. Here is a great gift idea for coworkers. A mini treat bag. It will hold something small like a Hershey Kiss or a Dove Chocolate Square. No worries if you have many coworkers because two of these mini treat bags can be made from one sheet of 6"x6" DSP (Designer Series Paper).</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rc7lFk_b_MY/YQfkAQk-bcI/AAAAAAAAEG0/aK5yxDc_0xcm-tOhwCBeKKde8-ybcipJgCPcBGAsYHg/s4032/final.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Stampin Stace, Halloween, mini treat bag template" border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="150" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rc7lFk_b_MY/YQfkAQk-bcI/AAAAAAAAEG0/aK5yxDc_0xcm-tOhwCBeKKde8-ybcipJgCPcBGAsYHg/w200-h150/final.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>You want to start with a 3"x 4 1/2" piece of DSP. One the 4 1/2" side score at 1", 2", 3" and 4". I remember the measurements by just counting 1, 2, 3, 4.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Next score on the 3" side score 1". </span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"> Cut on the thick lines and add adhesive to the half inch tab and the square tabs. I used Tear & Tape. Mono Adhesive would also work very well on this project.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Once your box shape is made pinch the top. I added the chocolate and used a mini stapler to keep it closed. One of the boxes I added a 1/2 strip of Basic White card stock stamped with a spooky spider. Depending on your design, the strip could be up to an inch wide. I loved this cute DSP (Designer Series Paper) so much I couldn't cover it up!</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Until next time,</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-j1JAIj_AKwk/YQfmqTbFj3I/AAAAAAAAEHE/yOXPXHw4Xs82e3b4vCk1Ahv02Wk3Gg2ugCPcBGAsYHg/s398/IMG_6641.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Stampin Stace" border="0" data-original-height="398" data-original-width="398" height="200" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-j1JAIj_AKwk/YQfmqTbFj3I/AAAAAAAAEHE/yOXPXHw4Xs82e3b4vCk1Ahv02Wk3Gg2ugCPcBGAsYHg/w200-h200/IMG_6641.PNG" width="200" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /> </span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div>Stacehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09730423745496240554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-249040169192486583.post-90912838611614681802021-08-03T04:30:00.060-04:002021-08-03T04:30:00.225-04:00White Butterflies<div><span style="font-size: medium;">Hi Stampers!</span></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d8Z1Sbg15FM/YQfP2XClobI/AAAAAAAAEFQ/lE7oJA_aZfc64RKBCcgvcNKUBWcHCRKFQCPcBGAsYHg/s2232/final.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Stampin Stace, STampin Up, Butterfly Brilliance" border="0" data-original-height="2232" data-original-width="1873" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d8Z1Sbg15FM/YQfP2XClobI/AAAAAAAAEFQ/lE7oJA_aZfc64RKBCcgvcNKUBWcHCRKFQCPcBGAsYHg/w269-h320/final.jpg" width="269" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><span style="font-size: medium;">Have you ever wanted to stamp on colored card stock and color it? Here is a get well card using retired paper. However, this paper has special meaning. It has some flowers on it that my daughter isn't allergic to so I have lots of it for her.</div><div><br /></div><div>This is a get well card for her grandmother who fell. I love Stampin' UP! I used my Beauty of Friendship Bundle for this card and coordinating Designer Series Paper which is on sale for the month of July.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>For the front of the card I used a layer of Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper which is this beautiful sky background.</div><div>I stamped directly on it with a tree stamp from Beauty of Friendship. I embossed the Cinnamon Cider layer with the 3D Bark embossing folder. I love how detailed the embossing folders are. I will not hoard my pretty papers any more!</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">I am using paper called Celebration. I tried Googling how old this paper is-I couldn't find it! 🤯. I thought these bright colors would be great for teenage boys. </span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">These cards are simple Z fold cards, but it adds some extra interest and shows more of that Designer Series Paper. Turning 16 is a big deal so I used the Playful Alphabet Dies to cut 16 from Real Red. I did use a retired stamp to make the speckles to imitate the DSP.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rLVFloI4kTE/YNS71MY0YmI/AAAAAAAAD1A/147B_Wh2bn420dWynqpzodY64s1oIu9sACPcBGAsYHg/s4032/final.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="113" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rLVFloI4kTE/YNS71MY0YmI/AAAAAAAAD1A/147B_Wh2bn420dWynqpzodY64s1oIu9sACPcBGAsYHg/w151-h113/final.jpg" width="151" /></a></div><br /><div>The inside of the card used my other must have stamp sets Biggest Wishes and A wish For Everything. Here is a graduation card I made quickly with Suit & Tie dies using my die cutting machine.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ye1pYKY1H2A/YNSskUitlfI/AAAAAAAADyM/_ITKsxbKF0gx8wsHmRVYBSM9sVVQvPPFACPcBGAsYHg/s3621/final.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3621" data-original-width="2696" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ye1pYKY1H2A/YNSskUitlfI/AAAAAAAADyM/_ITKsxbKF0gx8wsHmRVYBSM9sVVQvPPFACPcBGAsYHg/s320/final.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div>My Nephew graduated this year. His school colors are green and gold. I used Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry and Basic White on his card.</div><div><br /></div><div>The diploma is a piece of scrap paper rolled up and tied with Black Bakers Twine. The tassel is made from White Bakers Twine and attached with glue dots. I used a Basic Pearl to make it appear that it is what is holding the tassel on.</div><div><br /></div><div>The cap itself is a small rectangle from Stitched So Sweetly, cut a second time to make it more of square shape.</div><div><br /></div><div>Inside I stamped Celebrate you in Mossy Meadow and Crushed Curry using the new stamp set Create with Friends stamp set. A must have in my opinion!</div><div><br /></div><div>We had a wonderful graduation party and before you know it, fall will be here and my nephew will be going off to college.</div><div><br /></div><div>Until next time</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--zNeJ2CQ32k/YNSwzVTXlgI/AAAAAAAADy8/OOxWDRM_IwUhxghGf7wO_aMUCSheg_HwgCPcBGAsYHg/s398/IMG_6641.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="398" data-original-width="398" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--zNeJ2CQ32k/YNSwzVTXlgI/AAAAAAAADy8/OOxWDRM_IwUhxghGf7wO_aMUCSheg_HwgCPcBGAsYHg/s320/IMG_6641.PNG" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Stacehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09730423745496240554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-249040169192486583.post-37037659316240588702021-07-01T04:30:00.000-04:002021-07-01T04:30:00.220-04:00A Little Catching UpHi Stampers!<div><br /></div><div>You know I am behind sharing photos with you. Here is a cute little card I made for a family member. Sadly Zany Zebras retired but this could be copied with any image. Isn't this just the cutest for a little girl?? Where did June go?</div><div><br /></div><div>I wanted to make a quick card for people in my family who have helped keep the U.S. free. It is funny how you have an idea in your head and then it changes when you actually start stamping.</div><div><br /></div><div>Originally, I wanted a Night of Navy background with Real Red and Basic White stripes and a verse about celebrating.</div><div><br /></div><div>I cut all my card stock and decided the verse didn't show up the way I wanted on red and white. After taking my card apart a few times (once to get rid of the red stripes and then deciding the white stripes needed "something") I changed my sentiment to Thanks from Biggest Wish. Next, I need a shape to punch or cut out the verse. I used my Tailor Made Tags since I haven't used those yet. I needed another layer, so I decided on Real Red in a larger tag. </div><div><br /></div><div>Once I placed the the two tags together, it looked like a set of military dog tags. I added some silver cording that I have had forever to represent the chain dog tags are worn on. So this became my final card- NOTHING like I had originally planned. </div><div><br /></div><div>I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July. </div><div><br /></div><div>Until next time,</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l7R8yJECc9Q/YNpVmLHhSmI/AAAAAAAAD2o/00lrnT5ePsstgnjwjlCGBicrzpDOKdrcQCPcBGAsYHg/s398/IMG_6641.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="398" data-original-width="398" height="200" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l7R8yJECc9Q/YNpVmLHhSmI/AAAAAAAAD2o/00lrnT5ePsstgnjwjlCGBicrzpDOKdrcQCPcBGAsYHg/w200-h200/IMG_6641.PNG" width="200" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div>Stacehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09730423745496240554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-249040169192486583.post-78255507358871113602021-06-24T04:30:00.032-04:002021-06-24T04:30:00.255-04:00School's Out For Summer!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hi Stampers! Guess what?? SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER! AND I'M SO HAPPY!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cnxH7w3LHgM/YNOf7ejPXOI/AAAAAAAADt4/m16LFB6PWNUnKiawPiVfGlBuOmFC3txOACPcBGAsYHg/s398/IMG_6639.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="398" data-original-width="398" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cnxH7w3LHgM/YNOf7ejPXOI/AAAAAAAADt4/m16LFB6PWNUnKiawPiVfGlBuOmFC3txOACPcBGAsYHg/s320/IMG_6639.PNG" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> This has been the absolute craziest year in my 20+ years of working for a school district. I hope all is going well in your area with the pandemic.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Many people sadly lost their jobs during the pandemic. I got a second job. More on that another time. During the school year like so many my computer skills have been challenged. I told all the kids that by the end of the year I would learn Zoom, Apple TV's, and all the other cool stuff needed for remote learning.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I am done with school so I am hoping to get back into stamping again. I have made a few cards here and there for birthdays etc. Sadly, some items I've ordered from the mini catalogs retired before I ever got you use them 😭😭</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I plan to use what I have that is current before that retires too. My goal is to post items twice a week while I work part time during the summer. I still don't have very good internet where I live. The joys of some parts of Maine. So that means I still can't do any live videos on Facebook or YouTube or anything like that.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I would like to start a series of videos for a few of my friends who are brand spanking new to stamping, starting with simple cards for those who are just starting to stamp and don't own the entire catalog yet 😉.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Come back soon!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-obnnBwpB8QU/YNOst8WvM4I/AAAAAAAADug/z7k93fnqHiolNxhYpG7_okIlOY9PPVpeQCPcBGAsYHg/s398/IMG_6641.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="398" data-original-width="398" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-obnnBwpB8QU/YNOst8WvM4I/AAAAAAAADug/z7k93fnqHiolNxhYpG7_okIlOY9PPVpeQCPcBGAsYHg/s320/IMG_6641.PNG" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>Stacehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09730423745496240554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-249040169192486583.post-74240909633989519492020-09-21T04:00:00.048-04:002020-09-21T04:00:09.508-04:00BOO-zy Box for Adult Trick or Treaters!<span style="font-size: large;">Hi Stampers!</span><div><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-u-8mNhKCKqs/X017VvKTZII/AAAAAAAADj4/8Prjr_kSqegv7MsCUzvulTi9bF4ykAUlQCPcBGAsYHg/s4032/final.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Stampin Stace, Stampin Up, Magic In the Night Suite" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-u-8mNhKCKqs/X017VvKTZII/AAAAAAAADj4/8Prjr_kSqegv7MsCUzvulTi9bF4ykAUlQCPcBGAsYHg/w240-h320/final.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: large;">I made an adult Halloween treat. A Boo-zy Box! (Sorry, not sorry for the bad pun.) I had such a fun time making this box. </span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;">I used so much from the Magic in This Night Suite. The Designer Series paper, the black glitter paper (which I love and will stock up on), the Iridescent Pearls (photos do not do them justice), and Trick or Treat from the stamp set. I also used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. I cut the opening with the Rectangle Stitched dies. I placed a piece of Window Sheet in the opening. If you zoom in on the picture you might be able to see that I stamped some spiders with Staz-On ink.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;">I think these would be great for any parent helping their child with remote/home learning. Let's face it; they will be home with their student(s) on Halloween which is a full moon this year. Bless all teachers and parents this year! LOL</span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;">I hope you have enjoyed this project.
