Color My World- VC Rocks Blog Hop

Ok so you know that crazy group of ladies that I keep talking about every summer? You might have heard me mention VC Rocks once or twice. (See VC Rocks blog here)  We are having our first blog hop of the summer.  I hope you joined me from The Love of Stamping   Barb Furlong has really awesome ideas, don't you think??

So our theme for this month is Color My World. I used the new stamp set Flower Fest from the summer mini (and it will be in the new catalog coming out in July)  I stamped the flowers in black Stazon on glossy white card stock.  I colored the flowers and background with sponge daubers using Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Old Olive. I stamped the verse from Word Play in Tangerine Tango  Then, finally, I layered it on Basic Black & Tangerine Tango card stock.

Please stop by InkPaperStamps because Holly P has more colorful ideas to share with you.  If you would like to see the hop from the very beginning head on over to here.

Until next time,

Yes, I also am one of those not overly impress with this stamp set. You have given it the pizzaz it needed.
Thanks for sharing with all of us.

I usually think of daubers as distressing edges, thanks for the new idea. Your card is beautiful!

Beautiful card, Stace. I love sponging on glossy paper, but haven't done it for quite a while. Thanks for reminding me of this technique.
